Dear Past,

Thanks for all

the lessons.

Dear Future,

I’m ready!

If someone told me 5 years ago that I’d be writing a blog about anything, my reaction would have been, “Uh, what’s a blog?” However, so much has changed and rather than holding onto the past, why not embrace what’s to come. That’s one reason I’ve decided to add a blog to my website.

Another is to share with anyone reading this, a little bit about myself. That’s a big deal because I am an inherently private person but I’ve come to appreciate

2 things as a realtor. The first is that social media is a must for any small business owner. The second is that a home purchase is the single biggest transaction most of us will ever make so, as an agent, I spend a lot of time developing relationships with my clients. I want them to trust me to guide them successfully through this process and I believe that allowing them to know me better builds that trust.

Flashback to 2017 my business team was winding down our contract with a condo developer and considering options that would take us in different directions. That was a scary time for me after spending 2 decades selling new homes with the same group of people - my extended family. That was my comfort zone and now it was gone! For the next 3 years I took on similar roles, never really feeling like I had found my path, and then Covid came along and forced me to shift again.

So, two years ago I committed to a complete return to the resale market. Thankfully I hadn’t given up my real estate license during that difficult transition period. Fast forward to today and I know it was the best decision I could have made. It’s given me a new outlook, the opportunity to meet great people and to get back to what has always made me happy - working with my customers & clients. Making the transition complete, I’ve now teamed up with my daughter & husband. Family has always been my anchor.

5 fun facts about me:

1.     I’m a ‘glass half full' kind of person and I love to laugh

2.     Fitness is a big part of my life and I work out most mornings

3.     I’ve always enjoyed writing

4.     I’m pretty good at puzzles of all sorts

5.     My husband & I have a goal to travel internationally with only a backpack each

I once heard that being a realtor means waking up every morning unemployed. And while it might not be quite that dramatic, having that mindset reminds me to work hard and appreciate every opportunity that comes my way. 2022 looks very promising and I’m excited for what’s to come.

If you’ve managed to read this far, thanks for listening and please check back in February when I’ll be featuring Sydney, my daughter, business partner and one of my favorite people. I’d also love to hear more about you so reach out and let’s chat.
