I'll start by saying that we are very different in many ways. She is definitely not my 'Mini Me'. This means we sometimes have to agree to disagree but it’s also why we work well together. We understand our own strengths and trust each other to do the work needed to help our clients.
Sydney graduated with a Bachelor of Interior Design from Mount Royal University in 2016. Since that time, she’s worked for a number of Architectural & Design firms, focusing on commercial projects. Currently she’s taken on a position with a residential renovation company to broaden her experience but, despite the demands of her full-time career, she’s always by my side when I need her.
In fact, she’s been helping me since she was just a young girl. She was always eager to hang out at my sales office and talk to customers – like her mom she has the Gift of Gab! As she got older, she would hand out brochures and tour people through the show homes and around the projects I worked on. Later, while working towards her degree, she was hired by the builder I was contracted with to stage 4 of their show homes. It was at that time we started discussing how we could turn this into a shared business.
As an interior designer Sydney has extensive training in computer-aided design & drafting and an understanding of how the elements of design like color, light, line & texture work to create an appealing space. She uses these skills to assist our clients in the staging of their homes for sale. Unlike many realtor teams that offer to bring in a stager, paid for by the home seller, Sydney will use our client’s own furniture and décor wherever possible, add in some trending pieces of our own and provide advice on decluttering and repainting to give their home a fresh and showing-ready look.
Beyond working with our clients, Sydney has been instrumental in helping me set up and learn the social media side of a small business and she’s always finding new and creative ways for us to expand our sphere.

3. Her eclectic taste in music surprises most people
4. She loves traveling anywhere as long as it’s warm
5. She bought & paid for her own car and then subsequently bought a condo on her own by the time she was 25.
So now that you know a bit more about Sydney and myself, I’m really excited to introduce the final member of our team. Check out my blog in March when I’ll share more about my husband Grant, the guy who prefers to work in the background and therefore doesn’t get much notice but who plays such an important role in our success.
